Morganna Magee is based in Naarm ( Melbourne, Australia) living and working on the land of the Wurundjeri,Bunurong and Boon Wurrung people,  the foothills of the Dandenong ranges. Her practice sits between storytelling and expanded documentary, creating  work that pulls from an emotional response to the world whilst still being based in the documentary tradition. 

Morganna’s images have appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Age, The Big Issue, The Weekend Australian magazine, Art and Australia magazine, Broadly,com, Wooden Toy Quarterly, Lostateminor, Esquire, and Black and White Magazine. Her work has been nominated for the National Portrait Prize, Headon Portrait Prize,  Maggie Diaz Prize in Australia and internationally  Px3 Official Selection for 2011 Prix de la Photographie Paris, International Photography Awards ( Lucies), Commendation Sony World Photography awards.

Morganna is an Associate Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology.
